A Weekend at Judy’s Handcrafted Art & Craft Show in Sandusky

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of showcasing my work at Judy’s Handcrafted Art & Craft Show in Sandusky, Ohio. This event, known for its amazing selection of handmade goods, brought together talented artisans, enthusiastic shoppers, and a wonderful sense of community.

A Great Turnout & Warm Conversations

From the moment the doors opened, the venue buzzed with excitement. Visitors browsed booths filled with everything from hand-sewn textiles and intricate jewelry to home decor and, of course, handcrafted ceramics. I had so many lovely conversations with people who appreciated the time and effort that goes into creating unique, handmade pieces. It’s always inspiring to meet customers who truly value craftsmanship.

Showcasing My Ceramics & Coffee

This event was especially exciting for me because it was the first time I offered my small-batch roasted coffee alongside my ceramics. The response was incredible! Many visitors were intrigued by the idea of pairing a handmade mug with freshly roasted coffee, and I loved sharing my passion for both crafts. Seeing people sip on samples and admire my pottery at the same time made for a truly special experience.

Supporting Small Businesses

One of the best parts of participating in craft shows like this is getting to support and connect with fellow makers. I had the chance to trade stories (and maybe a few items!) with other artists who share the same dedication to their craft. Events like Judy’s remind me why I love being part of the artisan community—there’s a sense of camaraderie that’s hard to find anywhere else.
