FAQ

FAQ

Are your pieces dishwasher and microwave safe?

Yes. Everything I make is high-fired stoneware — durable, vitrified, and built for real life. Dishwasher and microwave are totally fine. That said, hand-washing will keep the glaze looking its best for years longer. Your call.

Are your glazes lead-free and food-safe?

Yes. All of my glazes are lead-free and food-safe. I make functional pottery — mugs, bowls, pourers — so this was non-negotiable from day one.

How long does shipping take?

I ship orders within a few business days. Once it's packed and labeled, delivery time depends on your location — most U.S. orders arrive within a week of shipping. Every piece is packed like it matters, because it does. (More detail on the Shipping & Care page.)

Do you do custom orders?

Yes — that's a big part of what I do. Custom mugs for coffee shops, mug clubs for breweries, register walls, serveware. Email me at jessie@jessietylerceramics.com with what you're thinking. Timing is 4–6 weeks depending on order size, and I don't rush handmade, so plan ahead.

How do wholesale orders work?

Email me and we'll plan it together: quantities, shapes, glazes, your logo, timeline. Serving pieces get matched sets; register pieces get my freestyle treatment. Full details on the Wholesale page.

Can I request a specific glaze?

My 17-combo glaze library is launching soon across the whole line — if you see a glaze you love on one piece, you'll be able to get it on others. For now, if you have your eye on something specific, email me and ask. I keep notes on what's in the kiln.

How should I care for my pottery?

Use it daily — that's what it's for. Dishwasher and microwave safe, but hand-washing extends the life of the glaze. Avoid extreme thermal shock (like going straight from freezer to a hot oven). Treat it like the good stuff, because it is.

Do you gift wrap?

I pack everything beautifully and safely, but I don't offer formal gift wrapping. Every order ships in sturdy, protective packaging — no one will know what's inside until they open it, which is half the fun.

What if my piece arrives broken?

Tell me right away — email jessie@jessietylerceramics.com with a photo. I'll make it right, whether that's a replacement or a refund. Broken pottery is heartbreaking and I take it personally.

Where can I see your work in person?

I sell at art shows through the season — that's still my favorite way to meet people and put clay in their hands. Follow @jessietylerceramics on Instagram for show dates and what's coming out of the kiln.

Do you take commissions for one-off pieces?

Sometimes. It depends on my schedule — I'm a full-time artist with a full show calendar, and custom runs for shops come first. Email me and ask; if I can't do it, I'll tell you straight.

How can I reach you?

Email is fastest: jessie@jessietylerceramics.com. You can also call or text (614) 816-1130, or DM me on Instagram @jessietylerceramics. I read everything myself.
