Shipping & Care
Processing Time
I pack and ship orders within a few business days. Everything ships from my studio in Ashland, Ohio. Custom and wholesale orders run on their own timeline — 4–6 weeks depending on order size — and I'll keep you posted the whole way.
How Your Pottery Is Packed
I pack every piece like it's going to someone I know — because it is. Each item is individually wrapped and cushioned, boxed snug so nothing rattles, and sealed up tight. Pottery is sturdy stuff, but I don't take chances with the mail.
Delivery
Most U.S. orders arrive within a week of shipping. You'll get tracking as soon as your order leaves the studio. If something looks off with tracking, email me and I'll look into it.
Caring for Your Pieces
My pottery is high-fired stoneware: dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe, and built for daily use. A few tips to keep it beautiful for years:
- Hand-washing keeps glazes looking their best the longest. The dishwasher won't hurt it, but your hands are gentler.
- Microwave is fine for reheating. Avoid extreme thermal shock — don't take a piece from the freezer straight into a hot oven.
- Stacking is fine, but a soft cloth or paper towel between pieces prevents glaze-on-glaze wear over time.
- Stains are rare on vitrified stoneware. If something stubborn shows up, a baking soda paste and a soft sponge handle it.
If Something Arrives Broken
It happens, and I'm sorry in advance. Email me at jessie@jessietylerceramics.com with a photo of the damage and I'll make it right — replacement or refund, your choice. I take broken pottery personally.
The Short Version
Use it every day. Wash it however you like. It'll outlast us both.
